I've known for a while how gorgeous the cover for Cleopatra's Moon is, but I didn't make a big deal about it because, well, it doesn't come out until August. I worried that people might get tired of it if I jumped up and down about it too much, too early.
But, I've been seeing it pop up in different places (Goodreads, for one) so I figured I might as well own it. So, TA DA! Introducing the cover for Cleopatra's Moon. Isn't it gorgeous? Isn't if fab? Isn't it totally gush-worthy?
Sigh.
What do ya think?
Meanwhile, here's the inside flap copy:
PRINCESS OF EGYPT
Cleopatra Selene is the only daughter of the brilliant Queen Cleopatra of Egypt and general Marcus Antonius of Rome. She's grown up with jewels on her arms, servants at her feet, and all the pleasures of a palace at her command. She wants only to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a great and powerful queen.
PRISONER OF ROME
Then the Roman ruler Octavianus, who has always wanted Egypt's wealth, launches a war that destroys all Selene has ever known. Taken to live in Octavianus's compound in Rome, she vows to defeat him and reclaim her kingdom at all costs. Yet even as she gathers support for her return, Selene finds herself torn between two young men and two different paths to power. Will love distract her from her goal--or help her achieve her true destiny?
EPIC IN SCOPE
and extraordinary in detail, this ravishing novel reveals the fascinating journey of a young woman long hidden in history: the remarkable Cleopatra Selene.

Beautiful!!! And it sounds like it will be a great book, too! It's definitely going on my wishlist.
Gorgeous! Congrats! From a designer pov I have to say that I'm so thrilled it's not of the "face cropped" school of historical fiction. We want to see Selene's gorgeous face!
Very stylish. And the girl kept her head, lol (she fares better than those women on Mediaeval and Tudor covers).
Cleopatra Selene is really getting her story out these days; that's the third novel about her. Well, the more the merrier. :)
Ooooo - I hadn't read the flap copy yet! Chills, I tell ya - CHILLS!!!!! Yay!!!! :) e
Oh wow, I love it!! I can't wait to read the book!!
Oooh, I like the cover. It is definitely sigh worthy. And just like E, I hadn't read the flap copy.

Cover? Brilliant. Flap copy? Brilliant. Author? Brilliant-er.
How will we ever wait till August????
Thanks, Amalia!
Kris, I'm thankful they didn't go the "headless" or "too" cropped look either!
And you're right, Gabriele--two people have beat me to her story so far! But, they've written for adults and mine is for teens. Hopefully, that will be enough to make a difference!
Thanks for the comments on the flap copy, e!
Carrie, I hope you can review it when it comes out!
Karen, it's very weird for my "baby" to have flap copy! Your turn next...
