Friday Funnies--Ancient Style!

Y'all convinced me: I'll keep Friday Funnies going. Meanwhile, if you find a piece of art or reference to antiquity that you can desecrate...er, I mean, make funny, please feel free to submit it and I'll post it.

Unknown detail of the Exodus story:  right before Moses
turned his staff into a snake, he turned into a cat. Consequently, he
grew bored and walked away, forcing him to come back again the next day.

Alternate caption:
Another little known fact: after eating Laocoon and his sons, the serpent went after his daughters.

(This will make no sense unless you're an Iliad fan, sorry.)

Even ancient gods liked their Prada purses.

I didn't realize Prada had been around that long!

It goes so nicely with the beak and feathers....

I wonder where that character bought the purse. LOL. The cartoon is hilarious.

First piccy: "Did you not hear me screaming my 'safe word'?"

@e, I know--I guess the design house is pretty, erm, "ancient."

@Robyn, yes I do believe the smallness of the purse balances the hugeness of its beak! ;-)

@Patricia, I was wondering the same thing!

@Vipsania, LOL. I have the feeling the safe word is not "cheese." ;-)

Great job Vicky! I am pleased you have chosen to resume the funnies.

I like the Moses cat. The Exodus definitely would have panned out differently had it been led by a feline: the parted waters would have given ample access to fish treats from the sea bed.

Well, you gotta be a God to afford Prada. ;-)

@H, thanks! I like Moses cat too.

@Cathy, so true! I can't even pronounce "Prada" w/out feeling like a I gotta write a check!
