Getting A Mention on The Atlantic Wire

Well, knock me over with a feather.  My brother, Michael Alvear, recently informed me that Cleopatra's Moon was mentioned in a piece on the "The Best of the Girl-Power Books" in YA. In The Atlantic Wire.

The Atlantic. The online version of the famous magazine.

After I picked myself up off the floor, I fell over again. Because, really, this is just another example of something I never even dreamed possible. To be mentioned in the same piece with Ruta Sepetys, John Green, Patrick Ness, Maggie Stiefvater and Jennifer Donnelly.

Seriously fell over again.

I think I may have to stop looking at the article because these bruises are going to be very hard to explain. I'll do the happy dance instead. Thanks, bro!

That is SO awesome! Remind me to tell you my funny Atlantic story--you really need to see it rather than hear it. (It involves falling over, too!)

P.S. I'm kinda feeling woozy myself--I know someone (You amazing author) who was IN an Atlantic article. ;-)
