Friday Funnies--Ancient Style!

Welcome to Friday Funnies where we have fun with all things ancient (be sure to check out our earlier installments of Friday Funnies!).

Thanks to Paul Darnell of Hadrian's Wall Live (http://hadrianswalllive.blogspot.com/) for this contribution, a line from the romp, Carry on Cleo, by the great Caesar himself:

"Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!"

"Please, I beg you. Do not make me wear those embarrassing shoes!

It's not even close to  Labor Day!  I'll never live it down!"

via Lone_Spartan

"No really, I've got great aim. I'll just hock-up a big ol' loogie
and when that boat comes near, I'll get 'em this time, I swear!"

How funny!
Love the last cartoon.
Here's a suggestion for the caption (a take on a Seinfeld episode): "Hey, Mummy, can you spare a square?"

Hahahaha!

All I can say is that I'm glad I'd finished my M & M's before I read 'em. I'd have choked to death.
On a M & M loogie.

Keep it up, Vicky - Fridays are definitely funnier now! [And I confess, I had to look twice at the last one to figure it out. Hysterical.]

Donna, great line!

Cathy, loogie's and M&M's, thankfully, do not mix!

Robyn, I'm glad you stopped by!

I do enjoy a witty joke. I quite enjoyed the last one, and do believe that the fall of classical society dealt primarily with bad decisions in fashion. We should all take Lady Gaga as a warning.

I agree LoganBishop! Imagine what the ancients would've made of GAGA--Goddess of discord? Horror? Nightmares? ;-)
